Ear Infections

  • Ear Aches/Tugging at the ear
  • Ear & nasal Drainage
  • Fever
  • Poor Sleep

Ear Infections or Otitis media is an inner ear infection generally caused from a blockage of the Eustachian tubes. The Eustachian Tube allows equalized pressure on the eardrum and allows fluid to drain away from the inner ear. When the Eustachian tube is blocked, fluid builds up and causes an infection. The transverse process, bones sticking out from the sides of a vertebrae, run next to the Eustachian tubes at C1, the first Cervical vertebrae. When a vertebra is misaligned or subluxated, swollen tissue will result causing the Eustachian tubes to block. By removing the subluxations at C1 and C2 you can reduce the tissue swelling around the Eustachian Tubes and allow the inner ear to drain, clearing the infection within a couple days in many cases.

Chiropractic care works on relieving symptoms and complications associated with ear infections, by relieving pressure off the Eustachian tubes. Evidence shows Chiropractic care to be helpful within 10 days and fewer than 5 adjustments.

Kansas City Chiropractic Acupuncturist Monitors Qi with Acugraph

Acupuncture is a popular adjunct therapy used by many chiropractors. Its foundation is rooted in Chinese Medicine thousands of years ago as a natural healing process to balance the yin and yang in the body. The concept is that the body’s Viagra buy Qi, a vital energy force, must be free to flow along the body’s meridians without obstruction. Any obstruction can cause an imbalance in the body’s yin or yang and reduce the Qi’s effect to properly regulate emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual wellness.

Dr. Brad Woodle, DC, CCSP, FASA, a Kansas City chiropractor, is Board Certified in Acupuncture by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE). Dr. Woodle uses advanced technology to monitor Qi in his patients. With the use of the Acugraph, he can show his patients, via computer screen, their Qi in relation to their 12 major meridians and the five elements. This tool helps to determine where to decrease or increase yin and yang in the body and helps further educate his patients about acupuncture, making them a part of their own plan of care. The active participation of his patients in their acupuncture treatment has made their results very successful.

The World Health Organization states that acupuncture may be used to treat over 2000 specific conditions including  specific areas of pain or dysfunction; in addition it may be used as a general wellness tool to help restore energy and overall health and balance within the body.

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a non-drug, non-invasive therapy that may produce a variety of benefits-from pain management to helping with nausea associated with chemotherapy. According to the 2002 National Health Interview Survey, an estimated Levitra whithout prescription 8.2 million Americans have been to an acupuncturist, and an estimated 2.1 million U.S. adults used acupuncture in the previous year. Since the use of acupuncture has spread widely in the U.S. in the past 20 years, researchers are studying the benefits of acupuncture for many conditions, including low-back pain, headaches, and osteoarthritis of the knee.

Acupuncture may be useful as an independent treatment for some conditions, but it can also be used as a complement to other healthcare therapies.

During your visit
During your first office visit, the acupuncture practitioner may ask you for details related to your health condition, lifestyle, and behavior. Be sure to tell the provider about all treatments or medications you are taking and all conditions you have. Ask how many visits the treatment will take approximately.

While acupuncture providers may have different styles, a typical visit-which usually lasts about 30 minutes-includes an exam and assessment of your condition, insertion of needles, and advice on home care. Before the needles are placed, you will lie down on a comfortable surface face down, face up, or on your side, depending on where the needles will be inserted. Usually the procedure isn’t painful; however, you may feel a brief, sharp sensation when the needle is inserted and when it reaches the correct depth. Sometimes, the needles are gently moved or stimulated with electricity or heat. Each treatment may require the insertion of as many as 12 needles, which stay in place for 5 to 20 minutes.

Acupuncture produces amazing results in reversing infertility

Of all the available treatments for infertility, acupuncture isn’t one that people usually think of first. But, it’s actually one of the safest and most effectiveness treatments for infertility known to modern science.

Why does it work so well? Because infertility isn’t usually a physical problem. It’s often an issue related to circulation or energy channels that govern the vitality of your body’s organs (including reproductive organs). Rebalancing those bioelectric channels can create enormous healing changes in the function of your reproductive organs.

And the best part? Acupuncture is non-invasive, surprisingly. The needles themselves are virtually painless and barely enter the skin. That’s a huge contrast to the highly invasive (and embarrassing) probing, inserting, extracting, injecting and poking around typically undertaken by conventional infertility clinics.

If you (or someone you know) suffers from infertility, you owe it to yourself to read the quotes that follow so you can educate yourself about the seemingly miraculous ability of acupuncture to treat (and cure) infertility.

Postneek, [Possibilities of Therapy by Ear Acupuncture in Female Sterility], Geburtshilfe Frauenheilke 48, no. 3 (March 1988): 165-71. Results showed that after just one course of treatment 9 women conceived, with another 8 conceiving after 2 courses of treatment.

In China, acupuncture has been used in the treatment of infertility for centuries. The first published account of this is seen in medical literature dating back to 11 A.D. The Chinese look at five principal organs – the liver, spleen, heart, lung, and kidney – and use acupuncture to release blockages from these systems so that energy or chi can move freely. This helps the body return to good health. Promoting fertility is one benefit that can be obtained. Acupuncture to kidney points releases psychological blocks that interfere with reproduction.

Acupuncture is excellent at treating symptoms of allergies. Many allergy symptoms are located above the neck, that is, in the head (stuffiness, headache, itchy eyes, etc.) This means the energy is not flowing smoothly from the head into the rest of the body, and vice versa. All the yang meridians flow from the hands up to the head, or from the head down to the feet. We need to open the channels in the neck and shoulders and allow the energy to flow.

Acupuncture can also treat the symptoms very locally: by placing small, sterile needles right on points of pain or symptoms like the head or side of nose, allowing the stuck energy to dissipate and move more smoothly throughout the body.  www.naturalnews.com
