There are 206 bones within the human body. Where one bone meets another bone is termed the joint and there are more than 100 joints present. Within each joint space there is a fluid layer known as a synovium. The synovium is responsible for nourishing the joints and keeping them lubricated to protect from wear and tear and provide them with a nice, smooth gliding sensation.

Arthritis can be described as an inflammation of this synovial layer within the joints.
When the synovial layer becomes inflamed, the joints have more friction when moving and are not as easily nourished. In turn wear and tear in the joints sets in damaging the underlying bone and causing pain. Chiropractic & Acupuncture have long given arthritis pain relief. As arthritis progresses, pain and loss of mobility tend to follow.

How Acupuncture Can be an Effective Treatment for Arthritis

Chiropractic & Acupuncture are very effective with arthritis as it improves mobility and decrease pain and  seeks to balance the Qi' of the body, closes the 'gate of pain' and reduces irritation!

Arthritis treatments help to increase the range of motion in the affected joint and allows for more natural movement. The more the joint is allowed to move, the more healing of the joint is promoted.

If you or your loved ones are suffering from arthritis (anywhere in the body) or any other type of joint pain, we can help. Our treatments can provide relief without the use of drugs or surgery.
