Digestive Disorders

Digestion is of huge importance to your health,

All of the cells within her body that make up your various tissues and organs are in a constant states of repair. They turn-over, repair and regenerate very quickly. In order to do this efficiently, they need the nutrients you get from the food you eat to reconstruct themselves. This is why they say, "you are what you eat". What you put in to your body affects the way you look, feel and act yet the digestive system is one the systems within our body we ignore the most. People will often recognize and run to their doctor when they have a runny nose but they don't think twice about bouts of constipation or diarrhea. We are here to tell you, it is not ok to have a bowel movement every 4-5 days. It's not normal and we need to be putting different foods into our body to help that.

digestive-disorderUnderstanding the functions of your gut: Your digestive tract is said to have more nerve endings than your brain! It is also where the majority of your immune system is located. To top it off, it is the place where we absorb nutrients and vitamins that are 100% crucial to our health. This is why it's crucial to have a properly functioning digestive tract. Symptoms of improper function include: food sensitivities, bloating, gas, constipation, diarrhea, reflux, heartburn, fatigue, brain fog, weight gain, and even atherosclerosis in your arteries. Conventional western medicine consistently struggles with people with digestion problems. Many drugs actually make digestion worse by decreasing cell function, turning off receptor sites, or hampering your acid-alkaline balance. This interferes with the biochemistry of your gut and the enzymes necessary for digestion. Does this approach make sense to you?

The only way to improve digestion is to first understand what's causing your symptoms. We can then eliminate that and focus on restoring the function of your digestive cells and supporting the affected organs by following a 4-step Gut Health Plan - Remove, Replace, Reinoculate (Restore), Repair. This must be done in a stepwise manner, and should be guided by a properly trained chiropractic physician

Testimony
"After having a headache/migraine for 2 1/2 to 3 years and severe digesion issues I walked into Advanced Sports and Family Chiropractic and Acupuncture looking for help. Because of my headaches I was taking a lot of OTC remedies and then a lot of OTC remedies for my stomach problems. It would also be good for you to know that I am not a big believer in our medical system and I refuse to allow any doctor to do intrusive tests so that they can guess what might be wrong and then they can prescribe numerous drugs to see if they might help.

Dr. Woodle did an x-ray (nonintrusive) and found several things that needed attention. I had been in a car wreck when I was a junior in high school and was never given treatment on my upper neck. I am now 64 years old and my neck really needs attention. I also had a jaw injury for high school that he worked on. My stomach issues were so bad that I was taking a lot of antacids a day and not really getting much relief. I did not know that antacids blocked your system from absorbing iron. My hemoglobin level was an 8.2 when 12-15 is recommended. I was taking 4 to 6 Excedrine Migraine a day and most days adding in 50mg of Imitrex. Needless to say that was the major reason for my stomach issues.

After 4 to 5 months with Dr. Woodle, Dr. Bartels, Dr. Fanders and Amy and also having acupuncture treatments and specific nutrition to rebuild the linings I no longer have a stomach issues. I feel like a totally new person and give Dr. Woodle and his office all the credit. I would never hesitate to recommend them to my family and friends.

Thank you Dr. Woodle and team for everything you have done for me. ~ Mary Fran
