How to get a Better Night’s Sleep without Medication

Many people suffer from the inability to fall asleep or stay asleep every night. Some have resorted to over the counter or prescription medications with little or no results. There is another way to achieve a restful night sleep without medications, chiropractic and acupuncture therapy has helped many people fall asleep and stay asleep throughout the night.

Chiropractic adjustments help the body relax and improve the blood flow throughout the nervous system which increases communication between the spine and the brain. With the increased level of communication the body is able to relax the extremities, alleviating restless arms and legs.

Paired with Chiropractic care, Acupuncture has been proven to help increase the natural production of melatonin; the chemical within the brain that controls the daily night cycle of productive sleep. There can be some apprehension with acupuncture therapy and the use of needles, but the highly certified doctors at ASFCA ease patient concerns by explaining the process in a step-by-step fashion and by pointing out how the placement of acupuncture needles effect different parts of the body.

For those individual who can’t tolerate acupuncture needles, ASFCA also offers needle free acupuncture therapy. Contact us to learn more.
