Tennis Elbow or Mousers Elbow?
Many of us partake in repetitive movements that can lead to an overuse of the joint soft tissue resulting in Lateral epicondylitis or tennis elbow presents as pain on the lateral side of the elbow joint and is made worse with use. This pain is the result of irritation or the soft tissue that controls the motion of the joint. This is often due to biomechanical alteration of the joint motion or subluxation. When the tendon becomes irritated and the abnormal motion of the joint is not restored to normal the pain will continue to worsen. In some individuals the pain and irritation will become sever enough that certain motions may not be possible until the problem is resolved.
Epicondylitis often requires interventions that will not only help to reduce the inflammation but restore the normal function of the joint to prevent the problem from returning. Our team will evaluate your case and determine the root cause and help you to properly return to normal activity without pain. Each individual case varies in the treatment options but chiropractic adjustments combined with another passive modality such as Cold Laser Therapy and Acupuncture have shown to be very effective in the treatment of epicondylitis.
